Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use To Scale: Guess the Size (the “App”), a size-guessing puzzle game.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require an account. We collect only the data needed to run the game, manage purchases, show ads, keep the App stable, and improve the experience.

1.1 Anonymous App Identifier and Device Information

When the App starts, it creates a random anonymous identifier that is stored on your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or phone number. Together with it, the App sends basic technical information to our server:

• The anonymous identifier
• Device model, operating system version, and app version
• Device language, region, and App Store country

We use this information to keep the App working (for example, maintenance or required-update notices), to understand how many people use the App, and to fix problems.

1.2 Game Progress

Your levels, stars, coins, lives, settings, and statistics are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. Deleting the App deletes this data.

1.3 Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases (the Premium subscription and coin packs) are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to validate purchases and know whether Premium is active. RevenueCat receives the anonymous identifier and purchase information (such as product, price, and transaction dates).

1.4 Advertising

Users without Premium may see ads, including optional rewarded video ads. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information, an advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data to show, measure, and limit ads.

• The App asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used for tracking. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized using the IDFA.
• In regions where it is required (such as the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), the App shows a consent form provided by Google before ads are personalized. You can change your choice anytime in the App’s Settings under ad privacy options.

1.5 Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules local reminders on your device (for example, when lives are full or a new Daily Puzzle is available). These reminders are created on your device and do not require sending personal data to us.

1.6 Information We Do Not Collect

• Name, email address, phone number, or physical address
• Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location
• Health, financial, or other sensitive information

2. How We Use Information

• To run the game and deliver Premium features you purchased
• To show ads to users without Premium and to reward you for watching optional videos
• To keep the App secure, stable, and up to date
• To understand usage in aggregate and improve the App

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service Providers

• Apple – App Store purchases and payments
• RevenueCat – purchase validation and subscription status (privacy policy)
• Google AdMob – advertising and consent management (privacy policy)
• Our own server – startup checks and anonymous usage counts

4. Data Retention

We keep the anonymous identifier and related technical data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Game progress stays on your device until you delete the App or reset progress in Settings.

5. Data Security

Data sent between the App and our server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect the information we process.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Tracking: you can allow or deny tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt and later in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• Ad consent: you can review or change your ad consent in the App’s Settings.
• Remove ads: Premium removes ads.
• Delete data: email us and we will delete the data linked to your anonymous identifier on our server. You may need to share the identifier, or we can help you find it.
• Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your data.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
